Alkagesta said in a company press release that it participated in the eighth International Conference “Fertilizers of Ukraine: Autumn 2026”, held in Lviv on 24–25 September. The announcement described a programme focused on conditions in Ukraine’s fertiliser industry and its prospects for 2027, including the international and regional factors affecting prices, imports, domestic output and transport arrangements.
The company said its representative was Elchin Aliyev, Regional Commodity Trader for Ukraine. According to Alkagesta, he engaged with agricultural holdings, fertiliser manufacturers, importers, distributors and terminal operators during the two-day programme. The release described the conference as bringing together businesses across the agricultural supply chain, including producers, traders and logistics providers. It did not identify individual counterparties or announce any agreements resulting from those discussions.
Market sessions covered developments in the global and Ukrainian fertiliser sectors, a review of 2026 and the outlook for the following year. Other topics included domestic production, agricultural demand and import patterns, alongside trading and supply-chain difficulties in Ukraine. The programme also addressed plant nutrition technologies, fertiliser quality checks, liquid fertilisers and biostimulants, as well as potential partnerships and business development across the country’s agricultural and chemical industries.
In its assessment of market conditions, Alkagesta said Ukrainian fertiliser supplies remained under substantial structural pressure. It described import prices for key nitrogen products as having increased sharply compared with a year earlier, while infrastructure disruption constrained domestic production capacity. The release supplied no price figures, production volumes or estimates of the size of the supply shortfall it attributed to war and disrupted supply chains.
Alkagesta linked those difficulties to its own commercial offering, highlighting its activities in petroleum products, biofuels and fertilisers and its European supply-chain networks. That assessment was presented as the company’s position in the press release, rather than an independently verified finding about its capabilities.
