Alkagesta said it discussed Ukrainian fertiliser market conditions, supply opportunities and logistics at the seventh International Conference Fertilizers of Ukraine, held in Kyiv on 21–22 May 2026. In a company press release, Alkagesta identified Regional Ukraine Trader Elchin Aliyev as its representative at the event, which was organised by ChemCourier.

According to the release, Aliyev met market participants and representatives of Ukrainian agroholdings to discuss conditions in the fertiliser market and possible areas of cooperation. The gathering brought together businesses and professionals working across Ukraine’s fertiliser and agricultural sectors. The company described supply and logistics as subjects of those exchanges, without announcing a supply agreement or commercial partnership.

The conference agenda examined the influence of the global fertiliser market on Ukraine, alongside the structure and principal drivers of the Ukrainian market in 2026. Sessions also addressed forecasts for the autumn 2026 season. Alkagesta reported that an anticipated decline in Ukraine’s total fertiliser consumption this year was among the main market themes discussed.

Higher prices and their effect on the market were another focus, the company said. Discussions also covered the possibility that drought conditions could alter the timing of fertiliser application, as well as a potential shift towards liquid fertilisers in some regions. The release presented these as expectations or possible developments rather than confirmed changes in consumption or agricultural practice.

On the supply side, sessions considered domestic fertiliser production against the backdrop of energy challenges and EU integration. Imports, logistics and new trade routes into Ukraine also featured in the programme, together with international import and export rules, duties and policy developments across major fertiliser markets.

Alkagesta characterised its attendance as part of its efforts to develop longer-term regional partnerships and expand its presence in Ukraine’s fertiliser and agricultural markets. That assessment was the company’s own account of its participation.
